Hatha Yoga Advanced Teacher Training  ~ Embodied Peace:  Yielding is a meta concept that defines how we enter a room and conversation, or relate to others and our environment. When we successfully negotiate our relationship to the earth, there is equanimity of effort and ease in our Body-Mind that affects the whole of our life experience. Sthira and suhka, We can practice yoga with strength in a relaxed manner. We may do this by feeling our body relax its weight into the ground while the surrounding atmosphere equally supports its levity. Living, experiencing, embracing and embodying divine peace and ease within and out in the world. 

The ultimate aim and jewel of the yoga foundation is to be fully present in the here and now. It is our deepest intention and desire to create a safe and sacred space for our students to self-inquire and awaken those aspects of Self to be discovered, this is our birthright.  Students will acquire and embody a fuller understanding of the whole spectrum of yoga as an art and science for advanced guidance and teaching. 

Our program is an integrative blend of hatha yoga flow, yin yoga, restorative, yoga nidra, yoga therapy, somatics, movement meditations, tantric philosophy and moving into stillness practices; embodying the delightful experience of stepping into continuous peace and love in action. We draw on 18 years of experience teaching and guiding people into wholeness.

In 2019, I did the 200hr yoga certification with Gloria and Carlos and it was truly one of the most eye opening journeys I have ever experienced. It is something that has changed my life! Now, I am so excited to be continuing my journey with them by joining the very FIRST group for the 300hr certification. I am so excited to learn more about yoga and myself for the next few months. Small, intimate and sacred groups

An individual being can be defined as clusters of consciousness, organized into various densities, frequencies, functions and sensations. Our human experience allows us to explore our interior framework of being.

On our shared path we develop a great sense of devotion, integrity and sacredness in instructing others on this path.  With each step we gain a greater understanding and mastering of the therapeutics of yoga and the importance and the joy of cultivating wholeness and increasing LOVE in our world.

Key concepts that you as a student (beginner mind), practitioner and teacher will appreciate greatly to embodied: 

  • Integrative Hatha Flow Model (Shanti Heart Model) 
  • Advanced Yoga Teaching Methodologies based on Integrative Hatha Flow having a deep understanding of Biomechanics, Kinetic chains, Isometrics, and somatics. Building conscious models for any Body in Yoga
  • Advanced Pranayama as a Self-regulation practice and clear state of mind.  
  • Neuroprotection, epigenetics, and neuroplasticity – Greater benefits of moving into Stillness.
  • Walking the path with Grace by exploring deep into the Amygdala, prefrontal cortex, Samskaras and free-will embodying Peace and Authentic expression.
  • Dosha Balance/ principles, practices and support system through Ayurveda principles
  • Deep understanding of the Kosha, Nadi and Chakra Systems when it comes to embodying Peace 
  • The Liveness of food and energy and  into greater balance with the teachings and guidance of Chef Carlos.

Our advanced yoga training is divided into five modules which allow you to dive ever deeper into the exploration of Self.  Upon completion of this advanced program students will be:

  • Certified Yoga Nidra 
  • Certified Yin yoga
  • Certified Restorative Yoga 
  • Register with Yoga Alliance as a 500 hr. Yoga Teacher

Requirements:

  • If you are looking forward to completing your 500 hr. Certification with Yoga Alliance you will be required to have a 200 hr. Yoga teacher training certificate from a school that is registered with Yoga Alliance.  
  • You have to complete the application and submit it to us, You will receive an email to confirm your participation in our program. 
  • We require that our students have a 100% commitment to the program and their own growth.

Important Program Details

How much does training cost & what’s included?

Price $4700 (tuition & meals for 11 weekend intensives). If paid in full  two weeks before first day of class $4400.
Must save your spot $1000; limit
10 students in each group (non-refundable and is counted toward your tuition).
It includes: training, manual, additional materials. During weekend intensives there will be meals  from our Happy Buddha Kitchen.


Funding your Tuition

If you choose the payment plan: $1000 to hold your spot then
10 payments of $370.  On the 5th of each month, beginning March, last payment due December 5th.  **If paying with debit/credit card add 3.25% to total tuition.

How Often do we meet?
Over 10 months we will meet once a month for a weekend intensive from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
On Thursday evening’s we will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:40 p.m.

How long is the program?
Program is 10 months long .

Embodied Peace:
Course Outline

First Module: The Five Koshas  The yoga of integration & Articulation:  One of the teachings of the Upanishads is that there are five sheaths surrounding the self, the individual Consciousness. In the Tantric viewpoint, these layers are not simply maya (illusion). They are, yet again, another form that Consciousness has taken to see itself in a different way. The koshas move from the gross physical plane to the most subtle plane, each layer with its own qualities.

Developing awareness of our entire Body and the more subtle systems that comprise our Balance; it allows us to establish new patterns for experience. Articulation allows us to familiarize ourselves with the different systems that make up who we are. As we explore each layer of our Body, we must then reconnect it to the bigger picture. Integration gives time and space for those parts to interact. 

Topics covered in this module will include:

  • A yoga therapy perspective on the human being system: The panchamaya model
  • Trauma and Being present in the body 
  • Introduction of experiential philosophy (the practice of weaving philosophy into an embodied journey)  
  • Neuroscience, meditation and Tantric tradition to the embodiment of peace
  • Learn functional biomechanics that allow your students to align from the inside out, and the outside in.
  • Explore moving from different points of initiation that allow a greater ease and effortlessness in asana, exploring alignment, lines of energy, movement, strength and resilience 
  • Examine ways of working with students in their wholeness to support their process in an inclusive and empowered way
  • Introduction into an integrative approach based on Kosha system of sequencing classes
  • Basic and advanced Pranayama and meditation practices
  • The body as Soma ~ Introduction to principles and practices

Second Module: The divine experience of Sensing and Being into the living art of yoga. Restorative Yoga training and certification.  In this amazing module we focus on experiential anatomy, kinesiology and physiology as a platform for effortless and empowered asana and foundational material for integrated movement. Through somatics principles and Tantric tradition we explore and experience THE BODY as a divine VEHICLE FOR AWAKENING! The highest aim of yoga is to choose to know “The Self.” Hatha yoga has traditionally taught that the method for awakening consciousness lies within the Body. 

Continuing with Embodied balance asana, pranayama, philosophy and meditation, students will gain strong foundations in the practices of body-mind medicine as they are facilitated on this journey towards a felt sense of wholeness.

  • Restorative Yoga
  • The identification and discovery of Self ~ The Five Kleshas wisdom
  • The four pillars of healing ~ a conscious quest 
  • Shadow work~ A superconscious descent into the subconscious 
  • Methods of exploration of Prana Shakti ~Enhancing and harnessing 
  • The psychology of stress and pain ~ Yoga Therapy perspective and approach 
  • Self regulation and resilience as teachers and a forever student 
  • Developing presence~ supporting others on the path 
  • How to develop functional empathy and hold space for our students and create a sacred space
  • Refining senses and perception
  • Understanding and clarifying boundaries
  • The psychology of change~ Ancient wisdom 
  • Emotional freedom and modulation
  • Fostering Intuition ~ Neuroscience and Unifying field

Third Module: Utmost nature of Being – Yoga Nidra training and certification: Researchers have documented physiological and neurologic activity that distinguishes yoga nidra from relaxation and meditation. “Yoga nidra represents a state in which an individual demonstrates all the symptoms of deep, non-REM sleep, including delta brain waves, while simultaneously remaining fully conscious.”

  • Yoga Nidra
  • Self-discovery Journey 
  • Attuning your awareness 
  • Experience yourself as Awareness itself 
  • Embracing the opposites – Neuroscience and healing 
  • Yoga Nidra and PTSD 
  • Emotional reactivity and increases self-regulation
  • Greater awareness of and ability to tolerate life’s challenges
  • Clinical mental health benefits of yoga nidra 

Fourth Module: Yin Yoga training and certification:The web that holds you together and its miracles Yin is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine.  

Topics covered in this module will include:

  • Practice and Applications  
  • The distraction force and its benefits 
  • The mind healing response in Yin yoga 
  • The biopsychosocial model of health 
  • Fascia health ( types of fascia and healthy tissues) 
  • Stress in biomechanics 
  • Different fibers/fluids make-up of tissues and their function
  • The journey of stillness with endless possibilities

Fifth Module:   The Peaceful Warrior’s  journey   Body, mind, and Heart coherence. Awaken our innate creativity and wholeness.    Living in a state of peace and fluidity gives us the ability to fully arrive in this moment, and the next, and so on with presence-awareness. As we deepen understanding of our Body, presence of our awakened being has even more capacity to occur. This ultimate streamline of consciousness is the constant, clear expression of our being from poses to pose, moment to moment, and breath to breath.

Harnessing your power as a facilitator and manifestor  you will deepen your skills as an authentic performer, masterful class composer and inspiring director of Peace & Ease.

  • Sankhya philosophy in its deepest essence 
  • Mind and Heart coherence and Finding your authentic teaching voice
  • Conscious communication and Divine manifestation 
  • Hone your advanced skills of class composition and sequencing
  • Creativity and mastering your skills in different teaching contexts
  • Tune your transformatives skills and inspire as you resonate with students of all levels
  • Strengthen your vocal and physical instrument~ You are a channel of fluidity 
  • Refine your skills in adjustments and therapeutics
  • Community, Union, and Wholeness ~ Embracing fluidity at all levels
