It is good to know that Yoga is not just about the physical postures. As a philosophy and a practice, it deals with all aspects of the human experience. When viewed from this larger perspective, we can begin to see Yoga as a lifestyle choice. The lessons that we learn in pose practice bring about a sense of deeper insight and awareness that permeates into daily living, and helps us create a sense of connection to something larger than ourselves.
Our Fall 2018 programs are scheduled for a weekday or weekend format. Weekday sessions meet Wednesday and Friday Mornings 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The weekend program meets Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Each program has a maximum of 10 students. Weekday program begins August 8th and the Weekend program begins August 4th. Both programs graduate together the weekend of December 8th!
Your journey at Shanti Heart begins at our Shala and home. We are here for your growth, healing and learning. Our space is dedicated to supporting you as you learn about Yogic philosophy, the Yogi lifestyle and how to share with others as a Yoga Alliance certified Instructor. Over a 4 month period you will learn about the origin of Yoga philosophy and how this fits into your life today. This exploration will give you the foundation necessary to move forward on your path toward balance and union - Yoga!
Our certification is recognized by Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour program, preparing you to lead your community confidently, knowledgably and with caring.
